The Sweden Enigma

The cross will have to go

To adapt Churchill on Russia, modern Sweden is 'a riddle wrapped in mystery inside an enigma'.

On the one hand, we hear the most hair-raising stories of a country spiralling out of control.

A country where the number of 'vulnerable areas' more commonly known as 'no-go zones' has increased from 55 to 61 in just the past couple of years with the police chief who promised to sort them out admitting defeat and pleading at a press conference "Help us. Help us!"

A place where five thousand hard-core criminals in 200 networks now control those no-go zones, not the police. 

A country in which the Moderate Party recently called for the deployment of the army to these same 'vulnerable areas' to win back control.

A country where 100 grenade attacks were recorded between 2014 and 2016.

The rape capital of Europe where independent crime surveys show that the incidence of sexual assault more than doubled in just the 3 years between 2012 and 2015.

A country that has seen the number of Islamic extremists increase by ten fold to 2,000 since the turn of the century.

In this Sweden just one third of one per cent of the 163,000 migrants accepted in 2015 are now in work and where 60% of unemployed residents are foreigners.

A country where well established music festivals are being banned because of rampant sexual assaults.

This Sweden is a basket case in free fall to joining the Third World.

But there is another Sweden.

In this other Sweden the economy is booming with GNP per capita at $49,800 (ppp). That's  $7,300 more per person than Britain. 

In this Sweden the people are happy enough with their leadership to keep on electing the same parties that have transformed their country.

This Sweden has avoided war for 200 years.

This country has the world's first self-proclaimed 'feminist government' and has been voted the best place in the world to live for a woman.

This Sweden has recently published a book entitled Yesterday in Sweden full of pictures of black and white people living together in multicultural harmony to mock President Trump.

This Sweden's foreign minister joined the Harvey Weinstein #metoo bandwagon. Would she indulge in this sort of empty virtue signalling if Sweden's women were facing a rape epidemic from third world migrants?

Feminists in this Sweden welcome Muslim migrants with open arms.

So which narrative is correct?  

Both.

The key to understanding the Swedish enigma is to realise that Muslims only amount to around 7-10% of the total population. 

There's only so much that a tenth of the population can do to increase the crime rate. A doubling of the overall rate is a major achievement for such a small minority requiring ten times the effort of natives. 

However, because the Swedish state hasn't released statistics on the ethnicity of criminals for about 10 years, identifying the religion of the perpetrators involves some conjecture. But frustrated policeman Peter Springare's post on Facebook about his workweek is very telling:

“Here we go; this is what I’ve handled from Monday-Friday this week: rape, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, rape-assault and rape, extortion, blackmail, assault, violence against police, threats to police, drug crime, drugs, crime, felony, attempted murder, Rape again, extortion again and ill-treatment.

“Suspected perpetrators; Ali Mohammed, Mahmod, Mohammed, Mohammed Ali, again, again, again Christopher… what is it true? Yes a Swedish name snuck in on the edges of a drug crime. Mohammed, Mahmod Ali, again and again."

This is a very strong indication that the source of Sweden's crime surge is not to be found in the 30% of Swedes with a foreign background, but in the third of those foreigners who are Muslim.

And this is just one anecdote of very many that tell the same story.

A more precise indication is the finding, before the Swedes stopped publishing  data in 2005, that nationals from Algeria, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia were 20 times more likely to commit rape than natives with Middle Easterners not far behind.

Sweden doesn't have an immigration problem so much as a Muslim problem.

As long as that percentage remains a relatively small proportion of Sweden's total population that problem can be contained and Sweden's leaders can even continue to pretend that it doesn't exist. 

But family reunions, further 'refugee' influxes, together with the much higher Muslim birthrate will grow Third World hellhole Sweden at the expense of Feminist Paradise Sweden to the point when there will be no more enigma.

And former prime minister Fredrik Reinfeldt's assertion in 2014 that Sweden 'belongs to the immigrants who come there' will be gloriously realised.
