Maria Ladenburger, murdered by a refugee

German medical student, Maria Ladenburger, would have been 20 years old on Tuesday. Instead this beautiful young woman is lying cold in her grave. She was raped and murdered by a 17-year-old Afghan ‘refugee’, Hussein Kavari, on October 16th.

Maria’s death notice speaks volumes for her family’s dignity at a time of unbearable loss: ‘Maria was for 19 years a singular ray of sunshine for our family and she will remain so. We thank God for giving us this gift and for letting her be our child. We are sure she is safe with him.’

Bright future stolen 

These are clearly good people who did a fine job of bringing up their daughter. This not only shines out from the photos which show an open and happy young woman who would no doubt have contributed much to other people’s lives. But it is also clear from the fact that though Maria was embarked on a gruelling medical course, she still found time to volunteer at a local refugee hostel.

Maria was a well brought up woman doing her best to help those less fortunate than herself.

At the bottom of the death notice mourners are urged to forgo flowers in favour of making a contribution to one of two proposed charities. One supports the educational work of the Catholic Church in Muslim Bangladesh and the other acts to prevent the deportation of migrants from Germany. Clearly the family want to send out a message that they don’t hold either refugees or Islam responsible for the death of their daughter.

Christian fortitude and generosity

I don’t hold with those who have abused the Ladenburgers as dhimmis or described their incredible fortitude and generosity as political calculation because Maria’s father is a senior EU official. Nobody is subdued by the murder of a daughter, and only a monster would think of polishing his credentials at such a time. In truth the conduct of the Ladenburgers has been the very essence of Christianity: treating others as you would be treated and turning the other cheek. Whether you are church-going or not these are wonderfully civilised precepts to follow. They work so well in fact that they gave rise to the most civilised place on earth: our countries in the West or as it used to be known, Christendom.

The only flaw with this noble philosophy of life is that it simply doesn’t work when faced with a supremacist ideology. It didn’t work with Stalinists or Hitlerians and it has never worked with Mohammedans. On the contrary, turning the other cheek only confirms their belief in our inferiority.

Christianity has only survived thus far because we used to recognise this obvious truth: you can’t turn the other cheek to a supremacist. Be charitable by all means, but don’t lay down your arms and absolutely don’t invite them into our midst. This lesson though has been forgotten by our comfortable, smug and complacent leaders.

When Angela Merkel threw opens the gates of Europe on a benevolent whim (but not a Christian one because other people were going to pay the price for her charitable impulse) I’m pretty sure she had no idea how these ‘desperate refugees’ would repay our kindness.

It’s not just their disgusting behaviour as they rampaged across Europe to the promised land of Germany. A little bit of disorder was perhaps understandable from those fleeing war and in difficult circumstances.

And it’s not just those stories which crop up every other day of formerly rare horrors visited on the innocent: child rapes, rapes of women, gang rapes, acid attacks, mass sexual assaults, mass-murdering terror attacks, machete attacks, attacks on non-Muslim migrants, etc. Yesterday it was the rape of a 15-year-old boy by five Afghan ‘minors’ in Sweden. Today it is the report of the rape of an elderly homeless woman in Portugal. Every day a new bestial outrage awaits. But it’s not just these outrages, because after all we are always admonished not to condemn entire populations for the crimes of a few.

But in this case we can and we must because these are far from isolated incidents. The German police are buckling under a tidal wave of lawlessness. In 2015 they recorded an amazing 200,000 crimes committed by these new arrivals. In the first six months of 2016 the figure was142,000 suggesting that this year’s total may top 300,000. And at this point it’s worth remembering the reluctance of the German police to even record migrant crime. In other words these huge numbers are almost certainly only a proportion of the nightmarish total. Has there ever been a refugee influx that has behaved like an invading army?

But it’s not just these disturbing facts that should concern us. It’s the realisation recently confirmed by several undercover reports from the migrant hostels that many of these people we saved from war and oppression feel only hatred and contempt for their saviours. In short as good Mohammedans they despise us and seek only our eradication from the world. These are not refugees. They are in the main invaders, doing what invaders do. So the prognosis for assimilation: vanishingly unlikely.

But to anybody with even a basic knowledge of history none of this should have been a surprise. Islam has always been spread by war since the time of the warlord of Arabia himself, Mohammad. No majority Muslim country allows freedom of religion or accords equal rights to non-Muslim minorities. That’s why those minorities are in steep decline across the Muslim world. Long before ISIS got in on the genocide act the Christian population in the Middle-East had already dropped from 20% to just 5% of the population in the last century.

But for some reason our leaders seem ignorant of these well known facts about supremacist Islam. This is not forgivable because the true nature of Islam is so obvious and our leaders’ first duty is to protect us. This is culpable ignorance.

So when Maria Ladenburger’s accused comes to trial it should be remembered that morally he has a co-defendant and her name is Angela Merkel.
