Sending out a message

Rashid chose the wrong 4-year-old to pick on

A couple of days ago Islamic teacher Husnain Rashid was sentenced to 25 years for inciting murder. And this isn't 25 years as in the 22 years that somehow turned into 5 years that Telford rape gang leader Mubarek Ali got. This is the real deal, a twenty five year sentence that means just that. It is a minimum term.

So does this show a stiffening of resolve in the fight against Islamism?

Are our leaders finally sending out the message "Enough is enough!"

Not on your nelly.

After all that above-mentioned ring-leader of Telford's mass child rape gang has only just been put up for release ... 17 years from the end of his sentence.

What message does that send out?

And just last month Omar Mohamad who hit a police officer with a cane causing severe bruising was spared jail because he was of "good character".

What message does that send out?

And who can forget Farhana Ahmed, the Somali mother of five, who basically committed the same crime that landed Husnain Rashid his 25 year term, but was spared jail after her beak Judge Moss said that her period in custody had already had an "extremely adverse effect on [her] children".

Incredibly enough Judge Moss thought Ahmed an exemplary mother and told her: “You have devoted your life, apart from this abhorrent behaviour, to the care of your children."

This was a curious statement to make because this same devoted mother had tried to take her children to the war zone of Islamic State with her husband, and had later abandoned them in a second failed attempt to get there.

In fact it could be argued that Ahmed's two attempts to join the head-hackers of Islamic State made her crime even more serious than wannabe Rashid's. But somehow Farhana Ahmed developed a rapport with Judge Moss and was even sweet enough to say thank you as she was released back into the community.

Farhana Ahmed, the smile that won over a judge?

So what is it about Rashid's case that prevented him developing a rapport with his judge?

Here’s where I can’t help having a touch of sympathy for an Islamic looney tune. How could Rashid have imagined landing an actual life sentence, when other Islamist inciters like Ahmed had effectively got off scot-free? And no doubt Rashid would also have got away with calling for 'kafir' deaths if he hadn’t made one tiny screw up.

Mixed in with all the other Islamic hate, bigotry and threats was a picture of little Prince George together with incitement to bring the jihad to our Royal Family.

Now the British authorities are clearly willing to put up with many things. You can incite the beheading of a British soldier on the streets of London and get your wrist slapped in return. You can as Ahmed did incite the murder of ordinary ‘kafir’ like you and I and get away with it. But threaten the Royal Family and you’re toast.

In fact you’ll get banged up for double the time the average murderer spends inside.

Husnain Rashid, one of his many crimes was beyond the pale

Now don’t get me wrong. I've no problem with Rashid getting a real life sentence. I’d just like a little more value to be placed on the lives of other 4-year-olds and indeed the rest of us.

Here’s a case in point. Anjem Choudary who radicalised the 7/7 bombers and those who murdered Lee Rigby among many others is due out of prison this year after just a couple of years inside.

Anjem Choudary has spent less time inside than non-violent, non-inciting, Tommy Robinson.

That certainly sends out a message to Islamists.

"Incite as much murder as you like, but don't threaten a royal."

How's that working out for us?

Appeaser May must go.

Tommy Robinson must be freed.

And all appeasement of Islam must stop.
