Now or Never

It's now or never for Brexit.

David Davis and Boris Johnson must be joined by everybody in the Conservative Party and everybody else who supports independence for Britain. Yes, Boris is duplicitous. But what do you expect, he's a politician! Get behind him because it is now or never for British independence.

Boris' resignation letter sums up his case so well, you wonder that it took him so long to get to this point!

The Chequers Agreement is as Boris said 'a big turd'. It gives away just about everything we voted Brexit to achieve in terms of making our own laws and trade deals, but as Boris writes:

"What is even more disturbing is that this is our opening bid."

Theresa May's strategy after 18 months dithering and generosity (with our money) is to give away 90% of the gains of Brexit. Presumably she was holding back the last 10% for the actual negotiations!

As John Redwood has said about dealing with the issue, there really are only two possibilities. Either we make a free trade agreement with the EU or we exit and trade on WHO terms.

The first is preferable, but the second isn't the end of the world. It would merely involve trading with the EU on the same basis as we already do with non-EU countries (55% of our trade).

The result of May's pathetic leadership, though, is that European leaders openly show ever mounting contempt for Britain's Brexit supporters and voters. The EU hasn't made a single concession, but then again why the hell would they? Their detested opponent is giving them more than they would have dreamed possible back in June 2016.

So as Boris also says of those hopes we had in the wake of our vote for independence:

"That dream is dying, suffocated by needless self-doubt."

Personally, I'd replace 'needless self-doubt' with 'calculated treachery' but the suffocation is real enough. So to all those Brexiteers who have stood by as that dream was suffocated by May's policy of death by a thousand cuts; to all those MPs who thought that the latest concession was not worth bringing down the government for; now is the time.

Now is the moment you will have to answer to your grandchildren for.

Britain can either go down with the corrupt, stagnant and doomed EU or we can truly break away and make our own future.

Don't worry about the possibility of a Corbyn government. With useless May gone the next Conservative leader will finally have the chance to expose his weaknesses and he will likely be destroyed in the next election.

And if British voters were dumb enough to elect a man who's spent his entire life betraying his country all is lost anyhow.

Don't worry about your career. Worry about being able to look yourself in the face in the future.

It's now or never.

Time to fight.
