Sergeant Blackman – It Ain’t Over (Or Damned Well Shouldn’t Be)

The BBC as usual siding with terrorists

The best time to attack is just after the enemy have done beating their heads against your defences. Shocked by their failure and losses they are at a psychological weak point and it’s time to collect for all the blood, pain and even tedium it cost getting them to this point. If you don’t attack now you throw away 90% of the victory you've suffered so long to win. That’s because it’s just a defensive victory and wars are not won by defensive victories.

This is what our victory looks like. After 5 long years of torturing Sergeant Blackman, the enemy have been forced to return their victim to his family. Does that sound like enough payback for what Sergeant Blackman has gone through?

Now is not the time to be pathetically grateful for Blackman’s release. Now is the time to hit back as the enemy dart for cover.

But who to hit back at in such a target filled environment?

What about the justice system that dragged its feet for so long even though there hasn’t been a clearer case of judicial malpractice since Judge Jeffreys presided over the Bloody Assizes?

Or what about the BBC, the gold standard of leftie bullshit, that greeted Blackman’s release by fixating on the Taliban terrorist that Blackman finished off. Just compare that coverage to their treatment of the release of British Taliban wannabes from Gitmo.

Then there’s the Law Society’s Solicitor of the Year, Phil Shiner, who tortured hundreds of British servicemen and women for years while conveniently making himself a very rich man at the expense of the British taxpayer. To date his treachery has earned him little more than a sharp talking to and a slap on the wrist.

Or maybe the Ministry of Defence which sided with Shiner and assisted in the persecution of its own men.

Etc,

etc,

etc,

etc,

etc,

But war like politics is the art of the possible. We’ve got to concentrate our firepower on a target that can be brought down. And the limping wildebeest in the mighty herd of liberal traitors is Judge Advocate General Jeffrey (call me Jeff) Blackett.

The JAG is exposed and vulnerable because as Britain’s most senior military judge he somehow managed to preside over a complete travesty of justice. Jonathan Goldberg QC’s legal team identified no fewer than eight grounds for appeal in what Goldberg has called 'this lamentable court martial'. What defence does Blackett have? Incompetence? He’s Britain’s most senior military judge for God’s sake. Temporary Insanity?  A bit late now to put a pair of underpants on his head.

The Criminal Cases Review Commission found that Jeff Blackett was guilty of an ‘apparent failure’ to properly apply the law. This is embarrassing for Jeff Blackett, but embarrassing isn’t enough to pay for what he put Sergeant Blackman through. There needs to be an enquiry tasked with investigating whether Blackett’s actions were simple leftie-liberal malice toward Britain’s soldiery or whether he was acting under instructions from above.

It’s fantastic that Sergeant Al Blackman is out. Time for him to crack open the bubbly with his wonderful wife, Claire.

Time to crack open the bubbly

But this is not the time for the rest of us to congratulate ourselves. The enemy have been repulsed.

Now’s the time to follow them, and finish them.

  1. Are you certain that Blackett didn't leave enough breaches in procedure for Mr Blackman's team to drive several buses through his judicial summary? More ways of killing a cat ...? Just a thought ...?

  2. For that cunning plan to succeed Blackett would have to give up his position and reputation. Vanishingly unlikely.

I think he just never imagined that a verdict so universally wanted and approved of in ruling circles would ever be challenged. He no doubt never imagined the scale of the Free Blackman campaign that grew and grew. I expect he's had a very uncomfortable couple of years.
