Thank God for the Internet

Camelot has fallen

The supposedly right-wing Daily Mail ran a tear-jerker on the sufferings of Hillary’s top henchwoman Huma Abedin. The headline sets the tone for the mush that follows:

EXCLUSIVE: Huma breaks down and weeps openly as she returns to campaign headquarters where she and her aides ran doomed bid to elect Hillary Clinton

We follow a despairing Huma weeping openly in the streets as she poignantly returns to Hillary’s Brooklyn bunker. No heartstring is left untugged as we are subjected to a thesaurus of despair. Huma is carrying the ‘weight of the world on her shoulders’, blah blah ‘pain and emotion’ blah blah ‘Abedin’s lip quivered’. And so it goes on maudlin paragraph after maudlin paragraph. I was almost tearing up myself when I finally emerged from the cloying goo at the other end. The death of Little Nell has nothing on this.

If you don’t remember any similar stories about McCain or Romney aides blubbing in despair after their defeats that’s not because your memory’s defective. Those stories never got written because no doubt the Mail’s liberal journos would think they lacked tragic pathos. Huma isn’t weeping over anything so selfish as her career hitting the wall, or just having been subjected to one of those famous Hillary tirades. No. As the Mail’s Geoff Earle makes plain she’s crying over the death of Camelot, the end of the dream of a just America. She’s crying for us!

This bigger tragedy is brought home to us when Earle observes that: ‘Abedin’s emotional state may not have been helped by the sight of messages for her failed boss left outside the Brooklyn headquarters’. It seems that numerous  simpletons and children have been scrawling those idiotic slogans which seem to comprise the entire extent of left-wing thought these days: ‘Love Trumps Hate’, ‘Black Lives Matter’, ‘We Love Hillary’ etc, etc, etc… How could we not be moved by their heartfelt sloganizing? As Oscar Wilde said of the death of Little Nell, you’d have to have a heart of stone not to laugh.

But that’s me, a hardened right-wing bastard.  What about the average Mail reader with little knowledge of politics in general or Abedin’s crimes in particular? How would they react to this propagandising cack?

Knowing the sentimental nature of Mail readers and their partiality for stories about celebrities and cats I was expecting them to be taken in. So it was with a certain sinking feeling that I scrolled down to the best rated comments below.

I should have had more faith in my fellow man. Cue the Hallelujah Chorus.

Here’s the top ten:

If I see another aide crying or 'celeb' was going into a meltdown about this... I swear... grrrr

You can share a jail cell with Hillary. She will need your service there

You should be happy!! The better of the two won the presidency! Trump is for everyone. Hillary is for a certain elite 1 percent folks. If you have money, she's for you. If you a a normal folk, she's not for you! Go Trump go!!!

Wait until the whole truth comes out about her.

Most likely she realized she's likely to be prosecuted now for lying about turning everything over to the FBI.

Huma made the call to the Trump team that Hillary conceded. Hillary was overcome with emotion and biting the carpet with rage. Huma will probably slink back to Mummy and the Saudi crowd. Huma will be waiting for the Arkencide moment. We will now really find out what was in the 650,000 emails

Good riddance to her and the p e r v husband she's been putting up with for years!

All I can do is laugh especially when i think about all of the dirty games Hillary and her have played and I'm not just talking about this election. HAHAHA

Huma needs to be in jail. Period

Maybe now she can actually spend some time with her child?? Crazy thought huh

Well, one thing’s for sure, wherever Mail readers get their scepticism about Huma Abedin it isn’t the Mail. Otherwise how could a thumbnail portrait of Huma so admiring that it would have embarrassed Kim Jong-un not have resulted in a single favourable comment in the top rated?

And, God help us, the Mail is thought of as the Völkischer Beobachter of Fleet Street. If Huma’s disappointment is covered like that on the extreme right of the MSM, then the deluded hordes of morons currently protesting Trump’s victory in a democratic election become explicable.

But thanks to the world wide web those of us who are not morons now have an alternative. And the readers’ reaction to the Mail’s contemptible propaganda piece shows just how many people have broken loose from the MSM plantation.

Thank God for the internet.

    1. The DM readership is savvy to the truth even if the paid for hacks are pushing an agenda. The internet has liberated the truth. We get our information from multiple sources now and the traditional media still can't understand how their influence is slipping away. Their news coverage is increasingly desperate and laughably biased, especially the BBC - as if we can't check out their lies and omissions nowadays. As you say, thank God for the web. The biggest fight in the future will be the battle to keep it an open source.

    2. No wonder Obama and Merkel were discussing tighter state control of the internet
