I Have to Tell You Now...

This is what they murdered people over!

So, here we go again. Yet another “isolated” Muslim atrocity committed by a lone gunman (or in this case three).

Twelve people murdered at the offices of the French satirical magazine, Charlie Hebdo. Their crime, printing cartoons and writing humour pieces on the founder of the supremacist ideology called Islam.

Unbelievably, even as the bodies are being counted almost the entire media is already treading the very well worn trail of exculpation of Islam. As the supposedly right-wing (as opposed to “far-right” which these days includes anyone who believes in the rule of law and freedom of speech) Daily Mail had it:

Twelve people were killed and four left critically wounded today when armed gunmen carried out a 'massacre' at the offices of a notoriously anti-Islamic satirical magazine in Paris.

“Notoriously anti-Islamic” suggests that Charlie Hebdo’s very raison d’etre was stirring up hatred against Islam when in reality it is just a satirical magazine doing what a satirical magazine exists for: mocking hypocrites and liars. Islam was merely one of their very many targets.

Charlie Hebdo is “notoriously anti-Islamic” because whilst MSM commentators and politicians will register their shock and disgust we are all supposed to remember that these victims are not entirely innocent. They insulted Islam and brought their misfortune upon themselves. And so will you too if you don’t have respect for the ridiculous and murdering ideology of Islam.

In fact it is much more accurate to describe the MSM and our leaders as “notoriously Islamophilic” for their lies about the true nature of Islam. Conversely, it’s the very few public critics of Islam that are clear-sighted and honest. Charlie Hebdo  merely takes the objective rationalist position on the both murdering and ridiculous supremacist ideology that is Islam.

The White House for example expressed its solidarity with France and support for freedom of speech by condemning the Paris attack in the ‘’strongest possible terms’’. Stirring stuff unless you remember that it was this same White House condemned Charlie Hebdo for printing the “deeply offensive” Mohammad cartoons that are “inflammatory” code for “On your head be it, blasphemer!”.

You can’t have it both ways. Either it’s okay to print harmless cartoons and write offensive copy about anything, including the murdering ideology of Islam or it isn’t.

If you really want freedom of speech you’ve got to accept that people will be offended in return for the privilege of living in a modern, tolerant and democratic country. Sadly, the White House, the French president and just about every other western leader and opinion former clearly believes it’s more important to pander to Muslim supremacist fantasies than defend the bedrock right to freedom of speech.

Standing around in squares in solemn protest and solidarity is all very well. And hunting the depraved scum down who perpetrated the barbarism is obvious. But there’s now really only one response which fits the magnitude of the challenge.

You know what it is. I know what it is and Muslims know what it is.

Republish Me!

The cartoons and satires of Charlie Hebdo must be reprinted in every publication and website that believes in freedom of speech. Editors can even add the rider that they don’t personally agree with the style or intent of the cartoons, but that reluctantly the actions of Muslim terrorists have forced their hand.

And if Muslims are really as wonderful and integrated as we are led to believe, then in the wake of such an outrageous attack on western values they will understand.

The reprinting of the cartoons is a true no brainer. But as I cast my eyes over the dreary, mock serious and mock stern rubbish published this morning on yesterday’s challenge to the West, it puts me in mind of another challenge 70 odd years ago.

The tone if not the sentiment of PM Neville Chamberlain on the outbreak of World War Two is appropriate:

I have to tell you now that no such cartoons have been reprinted. And that  consequently we are not at war with Islamism.

But they sure as hell are at war with us.

I am pretty sure that we will meet the challenge eventually. But as with the Second World War the longer we delay, the greater will be the cost of defeating the barbarians inside the gates.

A truly great and simple rendering of what is now going on all around us in the West.
Well worthy of a Charlie Hebdo tribute!
