It Pays to be Psycho

                                           Britain's Muslims flex their muscles

On hearing that a Church of England Bishop had called for passages from the Koran to be included in the next coronation service, apart from the usual involuntary groan, my first reaction was, ”He’ll go far”.

When I read on it turned out that the bishop concerned was in fact the former bishop of Oxford I had to modify this to, “He went far”.

I’m sure that the Church of England has many devout priests who minister to their congregations with the utmost commitment and humility. But clearly, if you want to get on in the Church these days a progressive outlook is de rigueur.

It’s well known that the former Archbishop of Canterbury thought it “unavoidable”that elements sharia Law should be incorporated in British law. But this is also the guy who thinks that there is no reason to “panic” about Muslim primary school teachers wearing a niqab (opaque veil leaving only the eyes visible). He added that any worries about this are “misplaced anxiety”.

Hmmm. Misplaced Anxiety sounds like a new psychiatric condition to describe the distress that primary school moppets will show toward their no doubt soon to be tented teachers.

And let’s not forget the future Supreme Governor of the Anglican Church, Prince Charles, who has said that he would much prefer to be known as “Defender of Faith” rather than the rather too exclusive “Defender of the Faith”.

I wonder whether all of these past and future luminaries of the Church of England are aware of their own motives in embracing Islam.

My guess is that making such one-sided concessions to Muslims makes them feel like generous, warm-hearted liberals rather than the volunteers for dhimmitude that they really are.

The proof of this pudding is that all these concessions are aimed at just one religious community among the very many represented in contemporary Britain’s cultural mosaic.

What about the Buddhists? How about a few lines in the next coronation speech from the world’s actual “religion of peace”?

What about the catholic Poles? Surely some gesture would be appropriate toward the ethnic minority with the lowest percentage on benefits? How about Charles  going to confession before his enthronement?

What about the Sikhs? How about a mention for the most loyal religious minority to the British?

What about the Hindus? How about a few words on the most productive religious minority in the realm?

How about the Jews? Surely there is something to be said for the most successful religious minority.

And last but not least. What about a few humanist sentiments from Britain’s  largest (non) religious community, the atheists.

Of course, the simple reason that none of these religious groups seem to inspire the inclusive generosity of the leading lights of Anglicanism is that they don’t kill anybody, at least not as a religious imperative.

The lesson from the behaviour of Anglican leaders as well as the other liberal elites of Britain is that if you want some respect from the establishment…

It pays to be psycho.

It pays to whine, threaten, beat and kill.

  3. At least our large migrant population includes Indian Hindus, Polish Catholics and African Christians. Enoch Powell predicted civil war in England. This is far more the prospect for France given the high percentage of its migrant population being Muslim . Also due to its communist style employment laws it has high youth unemployment., Both potential catalist fot civil stife.

    1. Here, here to that.

But the Muslim minority has grown from 500,000 in 1985 to almost 10 times that now . Or in other words they've grown from one group among many to more than half the ethnic minority population.
