Cheer Up, BBC! The Glass Is Three Quarters Full.

                                                   Lee Rigby: “fuelled anti-Muslim feelings”

As is well known, liberals are almost impossible to please. This will be all the more obvious to you if you’ve ever had one for a “partner”. It’s bad enough colliding with a leftie by the water cooler, but to become a project of particular interest to one is like living with Dale Carnegie on steroids.

Yet another confirmation of this axiom came in the form of a “shock horror” revelation in a poll conducted for BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat last week. In the words of their headline:

Quarter of young British people “do not trust Muslims”

Now if I were in the propaganda business like the BBC and polling showed that three quarters of the population believed my spin, I’d call it a result, crack open the bubbly and try to have sex with the new intern. And I wouldn’t worry about a quarter of the population being hold outs. Because as Robert Kennedy so rightly said: “One fifth of the people are against everything, all the time.”

But like the Inquisition, the true believing multiculturalists of the BBC cannot rest if there is just one heretic abroad in the land. So it is with a certain pious zeal that Newsbeat reporter, Sima Potecha, sets out in a Newsbeat article to discover the truth behind what she clearly considers the inexplicable mistrust of Muslims.

Though her article tells us nothing about the real reasons for the mistrust that some young people feel, it’s pretty informative about the misdirection the BBC uses to deceive the British people about our fastest growing demographic.

Sima The Magnificent conjures up the following fantasies:

1)                    “Islamophobes” Are Ignorant

First stop in her quest is Akeela Ahmed from the Cross-Government Working Group on Anti-Muslim Hatred. Her explanation for the shocking poll result is that young people are not mixing enough:

“These findings indicate that we need to ensure that young people are mixing at local levels and that they’re working on projects together so that people can get to know Muslims and vice versa.”

Now as a freedom guy, I’m not sure I like the sound of “we need to ensure young people are mixing”. How exactly are you going to do that, Akeela? And what “projects” exactly? The next five-year plan?

But leaving aside the distinctly totalitarian odour of her suggestion, I’m all in favour of the idea of “mixing”. I just think it would have the opposite effect to the one Akeela expects. The non-Muslims might, for example, be mildly surprised to find out from the horse’s mouth so to speak the following aspects of the Muslim mindset gleaned from recent polls:

• Up to a quarter think killing British civilians “justified”.
• 40% of British Muslim students want Sharia law.
• 51% believe Muslim woman can’t many an infidel.
• 61% want homosexuality punished.
• 62% don’t believe in free speech.
• 66% believe “honour” violence justified.
• 75% of Muslims consider Britain not their country.

In fact, I’m pretty sure that if non-Muslim youth mixed a bit more with their Muslim compatriots that many of the trusting three quarters would come to the conclusion that the doubting quarter had a point.

2)                                     Bad Press

The Cross-Government Group had another good idea about the origin of all that ignorance about Islam. On their prompting Sima refers us to the Levenson inquiry into press standards last year. The conclusion of their investigations revealed that there was “a serious problem of racist, anti-Muslim reporting within sections of the British media”.

The only problem with this otherwise damning verdict is their definition of racism. Apparently, reporting what Muslims actually do is racist. Just as Levenson and the BBC no doubt regard the reporting of all the following as "racist":

• More than a dozen major terror plots.
• Thousands of British Muslims have attended al Qaeda camps.
• 100,000 British girls have been genitally mutilated.
• Numerous Muslim rape gangs have operated unhindered for years.
• There is at least one “honour” murder a month.
• There are thousands of cases of “honour" violence reported each year.
• The arrival of the quaint custom of disfiguring women with battery acid.
• 24% of our Muslim males draw disability benefits.
• Pakistani origin babies have 10 times the native rate of genetic abnormalities due to that country's custom of marrying first cousins.

All those and any other facts that conflict with the fairy tale picture of the Religion of Peace are "racist".

Needless to say the BBC obviously hasn’t the slightest idea what “racist” means.

3)                          Muslims Are Patriotic

Sima subtly gets this point across with a picture of a Muslim woman in a tent with viewing slit proudly holding a Union Jack.

I guess she was one of the quarter of British Muslims who describe Britain as their country.

4)                         Muslims Are Victims

No BBC report on Muslim violence against the rest of us is complete without the journalist reminding us that the real victims of the latest Islamist atrocity are Islam in general and Muslims scared by all the dirty looks they are getting in particular.

Sima, though, isn’t satisfied with the usual generalities about what native British might do in response to the latest outrage and quotes data on disturbing increases in anti-Muslim attacks. She even provides witness testimony of presumably one of the most shocking incidents. In it Anisha Patel bravely relates how her daughter’s full-face veil was ripped off by two men. Thank God they didn't take her head off too, while screaming: "Jesus loves you". Nevertheless, one can only hope the perpetrators are caught before they hurt somebody else’s feelings.

And to top off the calamities that Muslims are heir to, Sima blames Lee Rigby for an “unprecedented escalation of violence” for allowing himself to be decapitated by Mohammedans on a London street.

5)                         Anti-Muslims Are Stupid

The one mistrusting Briton that Sima quotes refuses to be named. I guess she feels a little more scared than Anisha. I wonder why that might be?

Here’s what she has to say:

“When you hear about terrorism, more often than not it is Muslims that have carried it out. I just feel they’re all out to do that, they’re all the same.

If we went to their country we can’t wear shorts and a crop top, yet they come here and cover themselves up. It’s almost as if they’re forcing their religion on to us.”

Sima has carefully selected her naysayer. The “they’re all out to do that” gives the distinct impression of a “swivel-eyed paranoic”. And the "crop top" tells all the good liberals out there that she’s definitely NOC, not our class.

Also the tone of the naysayer's comments are in sharp contrast to the reasonable and civilized tone from Anisha quoted just before. The dog whistle is blown and three quarters of British youth knows with all the thought process of Pavlov’s dogs who they are supposed to identify with. And it’s not the ugly stupid racist, the lowest form of life in Britain today.

Three Quarters Full

And so as I say, the good old Beeb has cause to celebrate.

The BBC along with everybody else the young look up to from airhead celebrities to university professors have been feeding us propaganda that would have made a Pravda journalist blush. And if the carrot of going with the cultural flow isn't enough of an inducement there's always the considerable stick of being labelled a "racist".

So now a lower percentage of young British mistrust Muslims than the percentage of British Muslims who want the United Kingdom to be a Muslim state (28%).

And fewer young Brits mistrust Muslims than the number of British Muslims who  believe that apostates from their religion should be killed (33%).

The BBC should indeed be proud to have deceived enough of the population for long enough to prevent serious opposition to the settling of millions of inassimilable Muslim immigrants in Britain.

Today 10% of young British are now Muslim. In ten years it will be 20%.

So cheer up BBC and crack open the bubbly.

While you can!

  1. Stark. Play with the figures and see what reality is really about.

  2. I didn't have to "play with the figures" when I quoted opinion polls. The article I criticised was about an opinion poll, so I used other polls to expose the idiocy. In fact, the polls I quoted greatly understate the problem as most Muslims give what they know is considered to be the "correct" answer to the question: "Do you want to kill your neighbours?"

It is those journalists who talk about terror supporting Muslims being a "tiny minority" without a shred of evidence who are distorting reality to fit their beliefs.

Part of me understands them, because reality is as you say "Stark". But most of me reviles their lies and wishful thinking which will destroy our formerly free and peaceful land forever.
