If you follow politics only vaguely and reluctantly check out the above debate between Obama and Romney. You will be in for a surprise because it turns out:
Obama is no orator (though he does sound nice!)
Obama is not the smartest guy in the room.
Obama’s only plan is “More of the same”.
Romney is not the stiff android of media creation.
Romney destroys the president with affable intelligence.
Romney has a plan to solve America’s problems.
This wouldn’t have been a surprise to you and the American people if the media had even approximated to its function in the American constitution. The media is the only element of the democratic system that the founding fathers didn’t limit with checks and balances, because its free operation is vital to the health of democracy.
Sadly for America the US media is partisan in the extreme and so reneges on its crucial function of informing the citizenry. One recent example of the blank check that the media has written for Obama is its treatment of the Libya story of a couple of weeks ago.
An American ambassador is murdered in an Al Qaeda attack along with 3 others. Obama jets off to Vegas for a fund raiser. US embassies across the Middle East are stormed and flags burned. The president and secretary of state attack freedom of speech the most sacred founding value of the USA rather than the Islamists. Obama’s reset button policy designed to transform the dynamic and make America loved by the Muslim world is shown beyond all doubt to be a complete failure. This checks all the boxes of a public relations disaster for the anointed one.
So the media… spends a week attacking Romney for making a statement that the White House agreed with a few hours later!
But in the first presidential debate the people have finally had a look behind the cloaking device the media has used to mask reality 24/7.
The result was checkmate to Romney.
And a stellar demonstration of unintended outcomes.
One of the reasons Romney was so well prepared and so smart is the firestorm of criticism awaiting any Republican candidate who ever screws up in the slightest. This chastisement by fire has raised Romney’s game.
Poor old Obama, on the other hand, has been getting soft-balled by sycophants for so long he was stunned by Romney’s incisive demolition of the lazy tropes he’s got away with for years.
Check the polls in the following days. Obama is a dead man walking and he knows it.
The gloves will come off now and God knows what criptonite the Democrats will come up with to ground superman Romney.
But it won’t work. The people have now seen behind the curtain the wonderful wizard of Oz for what he is. The media will not be able to put Humpty together again.
Obama will get vicious but after years of mollycoddling by his pals in the MSM he’s too out of condition to win this fight. And in the process he will sacrifice his carefully crafted nice guy image.
Romney will trounce him again and again and win well on election night.
