Imagine

A real hate crime

Here we are again. Yet another atrocity. One hundred and twenty seven corpses are awaiting the pathologists knife that this time yesterday were living, breathing, striving, hoping people. They went out for a night’s entertainment in Paris and never came back. They were mostly young, so that’s about 6,000 years of civilized life in prospect  that were stolen from them by barbaric savages. Then there are the hundreds of wounded and traumatized to consider and the thousands of grieving relatives whose suffering has just begun.

But for me it is not these statistics of death that brought home the evil of this mass murder, it was a simple image. The picture of a body on the pavement under a sheet and just beyond the covering stretches a slim ankle wearing an elegant boot. A few hours ago a beautiful young woman put on that boot to go out to a restaurant and now she’s dead. It is that picture more than all the headlines which made me sad and then angry.

That’s how I, a moderate live-and-let-live kind of Brit, feel. And I guess that’s the way a lot of other moderate Europeans feel.

But imagine for one moment how you might feel were you a moderate French Muslim.

Imagine that you woke up today to hear about yet another despicable mass murder of innocents committed by your co-religionists.

Imagine that you heard the usual weaselly condemnations from your community leaders, but noticed that there were no mass Muslim protests on the streets against this bestial horror perpetrated in the name of your religion.

Imagine that it hits you for the first time that while your fellow Muslims care passionately about cartoon depictions of Mohammad, they are not particularly bothered by the endless atrocities committed by jihadis.

Imagine that. Imagine being that moderate Muslim.

What would you do?

Let’s turn it round.

Imagine that Christians were murdering, torturing and raping around the world in the name of Christ.

Imagine that in just the last 14 years they had perpetrated more than 27,000 documented deadly attacks against innocent civilians.

And imagine that your fellow Christians weren’t particularly bothered by it.

What would you do as a moderate Christian?

Nothing so obvious! You’d either hound the sadistic psychos out of your religion or leave it in disgust.

The reason that Muslims don’t do these obvious things is that “moderate” Muslims are a figment of the imagination of delusional multiculturalists. There are no moderate Muslims. If there were, they would be even more horrified and disgusted by Muslim terrorism than the rest of us. After all it is their beloved religion that is endlessly being dragged through the blood of innocent victims. If the vast majority of Muslims were as moderate as we are endlessly assured they are, they would be marching down the street in their hundreds of thousands to protest the disgusting barbarities committed in the name of Allah.

But they aren’t for the simple reason that there are no moderate Muslims.

As Turkish PM Recep Erdogan, whose militant and oppressive party is endlessly described by western journalists as “moderate Islamist”, put it in a TV interview:

“These descriptions are very ugly. It is offensive and an insult to our religion. There is no moderate Islam. Islam is Islam and that’s it.”

So now imagine this. Imagine that almost a quarter of the world’s population followed a supremacist ideology. A grasping, hostile ideology that has murdered and enslaved hundreds of millions over the centuries and aims at nothing less than world domination. An ideology that following the example of its founder has always been spread by the sword. An ideology that has only been held in check till now by the resistance of free peoples and its own inherent backwardness.

Imagine no longer. That is the world you live in.

  1. I have had much the same argument myself, many times.

Let us imagine white, religious fundamentalists carrying out abhorrent cultural practices (FGM, Honour Killings, barbaric punishments, mass murders etc..) and calling for world domination. Imagine that we not only invite them to live in our country but turn a blind eye to their actions for fear of offending them.

    Unimaginable.

    1. Unimaginable but true. We've been powerful, rich and successful for so long that most of us have forgotten the source of our success the true nature of Islam.

    2. Jim Crow Laws in Southern US & Apartheid in South Africa, examples of supremacist ideologies in which white people treated black people as less than human, were all protested by other white people. Freedom riders from the North went South and risked being beaten up, imprisoned, and sometimes even their lives, to fight segregation. South Africa was the world's pariah (let's leave aside the present situation of white people in SA for now, that's another story). Civilised people have a moral obligation to speak up against atrocities committed by people who claim to come from their circle. That's an easy way to tell civilised people from savages. It perfectly well works in the case of Muslims, as we see yet again.

  4. There can only be one reason to bomb Syria/Iraq.
    ie For our own protection.
The problem is that Cameron can't see that Assad is the only possible solution, we should be aiming to get him back in power.
    So bombing won't help much.
The rag heads are not fit for democracy and never will be until they ditch their death cult.
So they need someone like Assad/Hussein/Gadaffi.
    The Russian are right.

And BTW, I don't care what Assad has done/is doing over there.
    That's their problem, not ours.

War criminals Bush Blair started all this off with the Gulf war.
