                                Hate criminal, Jeremy Clarkson, abases himself

You know there’s something seriously wrong with your country when a harmless old buffer gets fired by the BBC for inadvertently playing the original version of “The Sun Has Got His Hat On” from 1932 which features the N-word in its lyrics.

You know it because you too are constantly having to censor your own speech to ensure that it doesn’t send some sensitive progressive type into deliciously self-indulgent spit flecked rage. And that is the best case scenario. He is equally likely stride off in search of your boss or the nearest policeman.

If it’s the latter, plod will no doubt think all his Christmases have arrived at once. Whereas a policeman’s career used to be made if he solved a particularly grisly murder, these days the same kudos comes from apprehending a “hate crime” offender. The same boost to your career but none of the same effort or danger as that involved in tracking down the “Acton Axeman”.

                                                       

Then you as the hate criminal can blub all you like, point to as many extenuating circumstances you can think of and even make a grovelling apology, but you may as well save your breath. Mitigation is for murderers, terrorists and paedophile enabling  politicians. Humorous eccentrics and those out of date with current social mores must be made an example of.

                         

So veteran BBC broadcaster David Lowe’s offer to make a no doubt abject apology on air was dismissed out of hand. He would have to “fall on his sword”.

                                         

Boris Johnson, the London Major, likened modern Britain to living in “Boko Haram world” in a “modest way”. This is a reference to the Nigerian Islamist terror group whose latest atrocity has been to mimic the deeds of the prophet himself and kidnap more than 200 schoolgirls for slavery and rape.

                                         

Boris thinks that the only appropriate response from the BBC to the injustice visited on Lowe should be for the entire BBC board “to go down to Devon to apologise in person, and at their own expense."

                                  

I say “Hear, hear” to that, but he must know that such an act of humble decency is as unlikely from your average progressive as paying their illegal immigrant nanny a living wage.

                                                       

It’s often said that there is  a “Culture War” going on between progressives and what Tony Blair called “the forces of conservatism”. But this is utterly wrong in terms of lexical accuracy. It’s not a “Cultural War” it’s a “Cultural Massacre”. All the casualties are on one side! It’s much more like a badger cull than a struggle between two well matched foes.

                                          

Just this week the multi-millionaire host of the BBC’s most popular programme, Jeremy Clarkson, was forced to abase himself over the mumbled use of  the N-word whilst reciting the popular children’s counting rhyme “Eeny meeny miney mo...” in an outtake.  The only reason he was spared the ultimate sanction is the popularity of his programme, Top Gear, whose success is in no small part due to its risqué humour. Needless to say what passes for humour on the rest of the Beeb consists entirely in mocking the forces of conservatism.

                                              

But Clarkson can shift for himself. What about the thousands of ordinary people whose lives are ruined by liberal enforcers after a casual remark?

                         

One such largely unpublicised case was highlighted by Mark Steyn back in 2010:

Six weeks ago, Roy Amor, a medical technician who made prosthetics for a company called Opcare, glanced out of the window at their offices at Withington Community Hospital, and saw some British immigration officials outside. “You better hide,” he said to his black colleague, a close friend of both Mr. Amor and his wife. Not the greatest joke in the world, but the pal wasn’t offended, laughed it off as a bit of office banter, and they both got on with their work. It was another colleague who overheard the jest and filed a formal complaint reporting Mr. Amor for “racism.” He was suspended from his job. Five days later, he received an email from the company notifying him of the disciplinary investigation and inviting him to expand on the initial statement he had made about the incident. Mr. Amor had worked in the prosthetics unit at Withington for 30 years until he made his career-detonating joke. That afternoon he stepped outside his house and shot himself in the head. The black “victim” of his “racism” attended the funeral, as did other friends. It is not known whether the creep who reported the racist incident did, nor whether the management who opened the (presumably still ongoing) investigation troubled themselves to pay their respects to an employee with three decades of service.

                     

Another was the 14-year-old schoolgirl who was arrested and detained for hours for asking her teacher to move her to another group in class because hers were speaking only Urdu. Or the prison officer who was fired for insulting bin Laden’s memory. Or the councillor who had to undergo diversity training for claiming that golliwogs are ‘nostalgic, not racist”. Or the Deputy Police Crime Commissioner who was forced to resign for correctly pointing out the fact that Adolf Hitler could more accurately be called a socialist than right-wing. Or the committed nurse who was fired for making a slightly naughty joke when dealing with an epileptic having a fit. Or...etc, etc, etc, etc...

One by one, ordinary people are ruined by vicious progressive ideologues. The badgers actually have it better. The intention behind a badger cull is not the extinction of badgers, but lefty liberals have nothing less than the elimination of regular humanity in mind with their “Cultural Massacre”.

Where will it end we all ask, and dread the answer. 

                          

Either one day we will live in liberal heaven, a cross between Huxley’s Brave New World and Orwell’s 1984 or the badgers will start sinking their teeth into some serious progressive butt.

                   

You’ll know when this has happened and we’ve turned the corner away from their smiley face fascist totalitarian wet dream. It will be the day when a BBC manager who fired somebody like Mr Lowe out of spite is seen tearfully emerging from the meeting which saw his own dismissal.

You’ll know when there’s reason to hope when the other side in the “Culture War” start taking a few hits.
