So, What Now? II

With the opening of negotiations with the Taliban we can now all agree that the 12 year long Afghanistan war is finally lost.

This is not quite how Obama and Cameron have sold it though. They’re spinning this abject humiliation as simply the pragmatic recognition of reality. And, of course, they’re right.

We have not beaten the Medieval Pashtun butchers and in this war that’s the same as losing. We are going home and are in no state to dictate peace terms to anybody.

So, once again, despite our wealth and technology we can’t win a war in a Muslim country. The missing element as usual is our inability to regard the enemy as in fact “the enemy” and destroy him whenever and wherever we can until he gives in. In short, we lack the will to kill which in war is the will to win.

Without that we’d better not bother invading any more Muslim countries.

Sadly, withdrawing from Afghanistan and Iraq is not the end. It may take two to tango, but one is enough to make war.

The murder of 3,000 innocent civilians on 9/11 didn’t happen because of U.S. “bullying” of the Muslim world. There is a reformation underway in Islam. Not like the Christian reformation toward a more enlightened and spiritual religion, but a rediscovery of the true nature of their faith. All of the accommodations and compromises that a weak Umma had to make with its neighbours are being rolled back as a betrayal of Mohammad’s Islam.

And this movement has been emboldened and animated by the almost daily revelation of the moral decay and demographic decline of the West. And soon economic collapse will complete the Muslim trifecta of blissful schadenfreude.

So in addition to the 21,110 deadly attacks by Muslims recorded since 9/11 there will be, sooner or later, what the IRA terrorists would call “a spectacular”.  Some of the billions directed at defeating the West in Iraq and Afghanistan will now be available to bring mass death to the streets of a western city.

Maybe they’ll detonate a nuke next time.

So, what now?

How do we fight an enemy that is willing to die for its beliefs?

Nothing so simple. Destroy their beliefs.

The good news is that we don’t need to invade any Muslim countries or carpet bomb any innocent civilians to do it.

                     

If you think that’s a tall order, consider what mockery and rationalism have done to the generally benevolent Christian religion since Charles Darwin.

And, quite frankly, with regard to Mohammad and Islam, there was never such a big fish in a teeny tiny barrel to take pot shots at. If you think the Life of Brian is a wickedly funny send up of the most sacred beliefs of Christians you should take a look at the Koran, The Life of Mohammad and the hadith as tempting source material.

There’s the touching story of Mohammad’s favourite bride, Aisha, 6, bringing her toys with her to the prophet’s tent after their marriage (It’s OK, he didn’t lay a hand on her till she was a, no doubt very mature, 9 year old) Or Mohammad’s (Allah’s) knowledge of the solar system: the sun dives into a muddy marshland to the extreme west each night! And then there’s the darker possibilities for satire in the numerous murders of harmless old women and poets that annoyed the model for all men and all time.

In fact, Islam is even more vulnerable to this treatment than Christianity. Muslims believe that far from being inspired in the minds of prophets as the Bible is, the Koran is the actual and perfect word of God dictated to Mohammad. Once you can demonstrate what a load of hokum one chapter is, you have planted that seed of doubt. Repeat the treatment a few hundred times and your average Muslim will eventually be as hedonistic and harmless as the rest of us.

And Muslims are keenly aware of this Achilles Heel.

That’s why even the most trivial offence to Muslim pieties is met with hysteria, rioting and murder.

But, I guess you’ve all spotted the flaw in my otherwise ingenious plan to neuter Islam.

The very same people (our liberal leaders) who won’t let us fight Islamists effectively on the battlefield, will also never hear of us mocking the Muslim religion either.

This is curious since it is liberals and progressives who’ve been most active in ridiculing the Christian religion to death these last hundred years or so. And they’ve always justified this by pointing to their absolute commitment to the Enlightenment values of reason and freedom of speech regardless of the offence caused to Christians.

But now that we need those very same tools to dismantle the Muslim faith joke by joke and inconvenient fact by inconvenient fact, our liberal elites have discovered a new lodestar which trumps everything else: multiculturalism.

So just recently, with the unprecedentedly disgusting decapitation of Lee Rigby on the streets of London, what was the priority of our leaders?

A sane mind would have wondered what the hell was going on in Britain’s 1,000 mosques. Or maybe our leaders might openly have pondered whether allowing any further clearly unassimilable followers of the prophet into the country best served the interests of Britain.

But, of course, the first priority was to state the ridiculous untruth that there was absolutely no connection between this latest atrocity and Islam. Police then fanned out across the country to defend mosques from having bacon rashers dropped outside and their visitors from getting dirty looks.

Most Brits know that Big Brother is watching and listening and so keep their mouths shut. But a few people were overcome with disgust and/or alcohol and let rip. And then the police and magistrates who are usually so understanding of fulltime Muslim jihadi offenders took an altogether harder line with otherwise law-abiding citizens who’d snapped. And so an 85-year-old woman gets handcuffed and arrested for shouting at a mosque and a 40-year-old man is fined £500 plus costs for mocking Muslim prayer rituals.

And many others who hadn’t realized just how intrusive the Bill can be these days in the cause of protecting Muslim feelings, found themselves in court after venting their frustration online.

But to appreciate just what a scandal this is, you should compare the totalitarian crackdown on native whites to the disgusting indulgence shown to our fastest growing demographic.

Going out on a limb now, I’m betting that either none or very few of these illegal, racist and criminally ungrammatical threats have ever been followed up by plod.

All of our other freedoms together are not worth a damn without freedom of speech.

Mocking and rationalizing Islam to death would lead to disorder and violent death on our streets. But as well as making the true nature of Islam undeniably clear to all, it would also make plain our steadfast commitment to our most precious and hard won right: to speak our minds.

And as a bonus it would do for Islam what it did for the Anglican church.

Imagine a world in which imams are reduced to performing rap just to be “relevant”.

They are weaker and more fragile than anyone imagines.

Mock the Islamists to death.
